What Serpkin checks.

Every finding becomes a mission your agent can ship, or a number on your results page.

  • Site health

    Illustrative

Example: 48 pages crawled, 2 critical issues, 5 warnings and 9 notices. Core Web Vitals: LCP 2.1 seconds, good; INP 140 milliseconds, good; CLS 0.18, needs work.

Crawl, links, structured data and Core Web Vitals on every scan.

  • AI search

    Illustrative

Example for “project tracker pricing”: an AI Overview is shown, your site is cited, and 2 competitors are cited.

Whether Google AI Overviews cite you, and who else they cite.

  • Rankings

    Illustrative

Example: “project tracker pricing” ranks at position 4, up 7 positions from 11 over the tracked period.

Tracked keywords, checked daily on paid plans.

  • Backlinks

    Illustrative

Example: 38 referring domains. 3 backlinks point to a missing page; a redirect from /pricing-2023 to /pricing is suggested.

A monthly backlink snapshot, with broken links to redirect.

  • Content brief

    Illustrative

Example outline: H1 Project tracker pricing; H2 Plans compared; H2 What each plan includes; H3 Is there a free plan?; H2 Pricing FAQ.

Briefs built from the pages that rank for your query today.

  • Internal links

    Illustrative

Example: 3 pages should link to /pricing: /features with the anchor “compare plans”, /blog/kanban with “pricing”, and /docs/teams with “team plans”.

Which pages should link where, with the anchor text to use.

npx serpkin check <preview-url> runs on every preview deploy (GitHub Action).

It keeps watching.

After setup, Serpkin rechecks your sites every week (every day on paid plans) and keeps score of what it did.

  • Weekly email

    Illustrative

Example weekly email, “Your week on acme.dev”: the sitemap fix was verified, /pricing moved from position 11 to 4, and the next mission is an FAQ for /features.

One email a week with what changed on your sites and what’s next.

  • Site watch

    Illustrative

Example weekly recheck of acme.dev: no page errors; /docs is hidden from search by noindex; sitemap and robots.txt are fine; the keyword “kanban vs gantt” left the top 10. Serpkin alerts you about the two problems.

A recheck every week, or every day on paid plans, with an alert when a page errors, a page is hidden from search, your sitemap or robots.txt breaks, or a keyword leaves the top 10.

  • What Serpkin did for you

    Illustrative

Example record for acme.dev: 7 issues caught, 5 missions verified, 3 pages reached page one, and clicks 31% above your own baseline. A monthly progress card can be shared.

A running record on Results. Measured, never promised: clicks are compared with your own baseline and read as correlation.

FAQ

What does Serpkin add to my coding agent?

Your agent can already edit code. Serpkin tells it what to change and why: the next best SEO mission for your site, based on real search data, with the files to touch, a recipe and checks. Then it shows whether the change landed and what happened.

Do I need Search Console?

No. Serpkin works from site scans and its own search data, and brand-new sites start with foundation missions. Connecting Search Console makes missions and results sharper, because they come from your real queries and clicks.

Does Serpkin track AI search?

Yes, for Google AI Overviews. Each month Serpkin checks your important queries: whether an AI Overview appears, whether it cites your site and which other sites it cites. You can also run a check on demand for 1 credit per query. If competitors are cited and you aren’t, you get a mission for that page.

What are credits?

Credits cover research you start: keywords, SERPs, competitors, AI visibility checks, content briefs and backlink refreshes. Each plan includes a monthly amount, and a keyword research run uses 2. Scans, foundation missions, result checks, rank tracking and monthly snapshots use none.

Can I pause my plan?

Yes. In Account, choose Cancel plan, then Pause my plan: your paid plan runs until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then your workspace switches to Free. Your history, missions and weekly site watch stay. Sites beyond the Free limit become watch-only (still watched, no new scans or research), and nothing is deleted. Resume any time to restore your plan.

Does Serpkin change or deploy my site?

No. Your coding agent implements the mission with its own access to your repository. You review, merge and deploy.

How do you measure impact?

A mission is verified when its checks pass in a named environment, preview or production. After production, Serpkin takes a baseline and measures at 14 and 28 days, from Search Console or rank checks. It compares your target pages with similar pages you didn’t change and shows the net effect with a confidence label. Search impact can lag and has other causes, so read it as correlation, not proof.

Which agents and frameworks work?

Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, over MCP; npx serpkin sets up whichever it finds. In Claude Code it can install the Serpkin plugin, so /serpkin:next starts the next mission. Next.js routes are mapped to source files first. Astro, Remix, SvelteKit and Nuxt are best-effort, and any site works by URL.

Is my data safe?

Search Console access is read-only, and Google tokens are stored encrypted. Your agent key stays out of git: the config written into your repo only references it. Serpkin receives a map of URL paths to file names, not your source code.

How are payments handled?

When paid plans open, payments are processed by Creem (creem.io), the merchant of record, which handles checkout, invoices and sales tax/VAT. You can switch between monthly and yearly, pause or cancel from Account.

Give your agent the next best move.
